This Murphy bed Hardware kit will fit a Full (Double) size mattress sized 75 inches long by 54 inches wide or smaller, weighing between 45 to 75 lbs. Your mattress should be less than 12 inches thick in order to be able to use the optional leg cross bar. This is a vertical wall-mounted hardware kit, meaning the bed cabinet mounts to the wall at the top. The bed cabinet sits upright that is vertical.
Hardware parts come with a full lifetime warranty, meaning we will replace any defective hardware parts for free of charge as long as you own your DIY Murphy Bed.

I am 71 years old and decided I wanted a Murphy bed in our basement. My age has not improved my patience but I did follow the concise instructions that were supplied with the kit. The only issue I had was that I was in such a hurry (not for any particular reason) to build and install the bed. I failed to paint the bed and outer walls prior to attaching it to the wall. I also decided I wanted to build cabinet shelves on both sides. After everything was constructed and installed, I began the painting process. It was a little difficult to paint around the pivot areas of the bed frame so I had to commander the help of my wife to hold the bed at different angles while I layed on my back under the bed and painted the bottom plate and around the hinge points. My wife and I are very pleased with the bed and I was very satisfied with the product and instructions supplied with it. I havent decided whether I want to install cabinet doors on the side cabinets at this point in time and my wife will use her “Cicket” to make a floral picture on the wall at the head after I repaint the white portion.

The materials and workmanship were quite good but the communication and learning assets were spectacular. The manuals, videos and followup were second to none. It would be hard to imagine a question that was not anticapited.
This was a bedroom that was used for teaching guitar and music gigs. But the lighting was poor, the sound was awful, the bed was in the way, and was using an oversize desk. Installed pot lights, new flooring, lots of paint and made new desk from the leftover plywood from the Murphy Bed.
Now the room is huge, the sound immensely better and I think there is a bed hidden there somewhere if we need it.

Hardware was as advertised. Carpenter said tell you that if you could you should include the brace at the bottom in the instructions a bit sooner as it was necessary to insure stability overall. He also said that he thinks that a 24 hour estimate of labor is closer to reality if the end result is a quality product. The trim is not on yet, but we are pleased with it.

Well designed, easy to follow instructions. I would suggest that you provide enough joint cap nuts and hex 3/4″ black screws for the entire project for added strength instead of the 3/4″ black wood screws. I ended up using all of the joint cap nuts and black screws and requesting more from you which you kindly sent and didn’t use the black wood screws. My husband added side cabinets to provide night stands (with LED lights) and storage cabinets and bookshelves to each side of the bed. See photos attached.
